1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Custom Designs Work S.r.l. (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at customdesignswork.com and provides digital design services. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data you provide when using our website or purchasing our services. We are the data controller for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data we collect and why

We collect personal data only when you actively provide it to us or when it is necessary to deliver our services. The categories of data we collect include:

• Contact form submissions: first name, last name, email address, and any content you include in your message. Used to respond to enquiries.
• Checkout information: first name, last name, email address, phone number, country. Used to create a Stripe Checkout session and communicate with you about your order.
• Payment data: we do not handle or store card data. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. under their own privacy policy.
• Website usage data: if analytics cookies are accepted, aggregated usage data may be collected to understand how visitors use the site. No individual tracking is performed.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract — when you purchase services, processing your data is necessary to fulfil the order; (b) legitimate interests — responding to enquiries is in our legitimate interest as a business; (c) consent — for non-essential cookies, we process data only with your consent.

4. How long we retain your data

Contact form submissions are retained for 24 months from the date of submission, or until you request deletion. Order data is retained for 7 years to meet Italian fiscal and legal obligations. Analytics data, if collected, is retained for a maximum of 26 months.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with the following processors where necessary to deliver services:

• Stripe, Inc. — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy applies)
• Email service providers — for transactional emails related to your order

All processors are subject to data processing agreements and are required to comply with GDPR.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations); restrict processing; data portability; and object to processing based on legitimate interests.
