Every new website engagement starts with the same question: who is the person arriving on this page, and what do they need to decide to contact you or buy from you? The answer is almost never the same as what the business owner thinks the website should say. This is not a criticism — it is the central design challenge that we spend the first week of every project solving.

The discovery phase covers the target audience, the competitive landscape, the existing conversion data if any exists, and the structural decisions: how many pages, in what order, with what hierarchy of information. We produce a written brief that both sides sign off before a single screen is designed.

Wireframes come next — black and white layouts for every page that establish the structure without being distracted by colour or typography. These are reviewed and approved before the visual design phase begins. This structure prevents the most common and expensive problem in web design projects: major structural changes late in the process.

The visual design phase produces complete, pixel-precise Figma screens for desktop and mobile for every page. We design systematically — building a small set of reusable components (buttons, cards, forms, navigation states) before designing any full pages, so the entire site is consistent without being repetitive.

The final Figma file is the handoff: annotated with spacing values, font sizes, colours (including hex and HSL values), component states, and responsive breakpoint notes. A developer — yours or one we recommend — can build from this file without needing to make design decisions.
